Empress Necklace

Half glinting sterling chain, half freshwater pearls: a necklace that reads as two pieces until it settles as one. A run of small pearls, graduated from 3 to 7 mm, sits along the front of the strand while faceted sterling silver carries the rest, catching light the way pearls can't and letting the pearls do what chain can't. Wear it alone as a modern take on the classic strand, or layered where its asymmetry earns its keep.
